Contemporary equine artist Alexandria Lederman is showing her work at a solo exhibition at the Perrysburg Municipal Building gallery.
Unbridled: Equine Paintings by Alexandria Lederman showcases the work of Lederman, who is a senior at Otterbein University, studying studio art and equine business management. Her work is described as capturing the essence of horses “through large-scale portrayals of horse features.”
The exhibition opens Friday and runs through Feb. 23, with viewing hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The gallery is at 201 W. Indiana Ave.

■ There are several calls for artist entries in the new year, including registration for the annual quilt show at Sauder Village in Archbold.
Quilting artists can register starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 17 for the 2018 exhibition, which features hundreds of quilts, as well as workshops and lectures.

■ There is another call for artists, for a quarterly artist event in Perrysburg, as well as a monthly art party in Findlay.
Chosen artists can participate in this month’s art party at Gathering Volumes bookstore in Perrysburg, which opens at 6 p.m. Jan. 27. They can also submit work to be chosen for an upcoming First Friday in Findlay Art Party, which are held monthly in various locations throughout downtown Findlay.

■ Glass artists have until Jan. 15 to submit entries for the Juried Mini Vitro Exhibition at Glass Axis in Columbus this spring. The spring exhibition features glass miniatures, and is accepting 2-D and 3-D work that is at least 50 percent glass and does not exceed 8 inches in size in any direction.

■ The Toledo Artists Club will recognize its 2017 award winning artists with a reception from 4 to 5:30 pm. Jan. 12 that will kick off an exhibition of their work.
The show is at American Frame, 400 Tomahawk Drive, and will remain open through Jan. 26.
At the reception, local artist and TAC member Paul Brand, who also just closed a show at American Frame, will host a live painting demo, Watercolor Without Brushes, starting at 4:30 p.m.
The Toledo Artists Club hosts monthly juried exhibitions at its gallery at Toledo Botanical Garden in which winning artists are chosen. The latest show, Vacations, is on display through Jan. 25.
Winners were best of show: Kathy Palmer Genzman, Boys in the Boat; first place: Thomas Sorrell, Monhegan; second place: Carol Sicha, Summer at Lakeside; third place: Michael Hill, Zebra; and honorable mentions to artists Brand, Sorrell, and Janet Wharry.
Upcoming shows have themes that include national parks and abstract art.
