Sean Spicer to speak in Toledo

Sean Spicer, the former White House press secretary, will speak Aug. 5 in the Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Open Book series.

Mr. Spicer’s appearance will be at the Main Library, but such details as time and admission price will be released later.

Kurt Franck, president, general manager, and executive editor of The Blade, announced Mr. Spicer’s appearance to those attending the Authors! Authors! event on Wednesday at the Stranahan Theater and Great Hall. 

Mr. Spicer’s book, The Briefing, is expected to paint an up-close view of his tenure in the Trump administration. The book is scheduled to be published the week before Mr. Spicer comes to Toledo.

Mr. Franck also announced that Florence Williams, author of The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative, will appear Aug. 30 at Main Library in the Open Book series.
