University of Toledo women’s golf coach Nicole Hollingsworth announced today that she will step down as UT coach, deciding to pursue other opportunities.

Hollingsworth, who led the Toledo women’s golf program for 15 years, guided teams to second-place finishes at the Mid-American Conference Championships in 2013, 2014, and 2016.

She was named MAC Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2016.

"I am proud of the program we developed at the University of Toledo over the past 15 years," Hollingsworth said in a statement. "The women's golf program has excelled in the classroom and on the golf course, and I am very pleased with and thankful for those accomplishments."

UT vice president and athletic director Mike O’Brien said senior associate athletic director Kelly Andrews will oversee the program this season until a new coach is hired. O’Brien said the university will most likely make a hire after the 2017-18 season ends this spring.

"We thank Nicole for her service and dedication to our women's golf program," O'Brien said in a statement. "We wish her well in her future endeavors."
