The University of Toledo women’s basketball team added a fourth member to its 2018 recruiting class Monday.

Jaela Johnson, a guard from DuPont Manual High School in Louisville, joins Notre Dame Academy’s Ariel Cummings, as well as Wadsworth High School products Sophia Fortner and Lexi Lance to round out Toledo’s recruiting class for the 2018 season.

“We’re excited to have Jaela join our program,” UT coach Tricia Cullop said in a release. “She’s a combo guard who can score in a variety of ways, sees the floor well and can defend. In addition to being an outstanding player and terrific person, Jaela comes from a high school program with a strong winning tradition.”

Johnson averaged 17.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a high school senior and earned third-team all-state honors her junior and senior season.
