The manager of a Maumee apartment complex was indicted Wednesday on charges alleging she embezzled more than $72,000 from her employer.

Amanda Diehl, 37, of Waterville was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury for grand theft and 12 counts of forgery.

Jeff Lingo, chief of the criminal division of the Lucas County Prosecutor's Office, said Ms. Diehl is accused of forging signatures of Noneman Real Estate officials on documents to commit the theft over the past year at Lakeside at Fallen Timbers.

“Part of the allegations involve leasing apartments without the manager's knowledge and keeping the payments for her own personal use,” Mr. Lingo said.
