Governor appoints Drew Forhan to BGSU Board of Trustees

BOWLING GREEN — Gov. John Kasich has appointed Drew Forhan of Hudson, Ohio, to the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees.

The university announced the appointment Thursday in a news release. Mr. Forhan’s nine-year term on the board will run through 2026.

Mr. Forhan is the founder, president, and CEO of ForTec Medical, Inc. which provides pay-per-use mobile surgery technology to hospitals, surgical centers, and physician offices as needed, including a broad array of medical lasers. He is also a former executive with American Hospital Supply/V Mueller and with Richard Allen Medical.

He was a past student representative to the board and graduated from BGSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/selling and sales management in 1981. Mr. Forhan also is a board member, chairman, and president of the Hudson Community Foundation. In 2015, he was inducted into BGSU’s Hamilton Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Hall of Fame.

The board also elected Megan Newlove of Bowling Green as chair and Daniel Keller of Huron, Ohio, as vice chair for 2017-2018 during the June meeting, according to the release.
