Toledo Botanical Garden volunteer Elsa Nadler transplants ironweed seedlings into a growing medium at the garden. Ironweed, a majestic plant native of the Oak Openings region, sports purple flowers and is a welcome stop for hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden. Ironweed is one of the many plants that will be available at the spring sale at the garden during the Mother's Day weekend, May 12-14.
