Girls Basketball: 3-point barrage lifts Fremont Ross

FREMONT ROSS 60, ST. URSULA 44

FREMONT — Olivia Baptista knocked down a school record seven 3-pointers, finishing with 23 points to lead the Little Giants’ girls basketball team Thursday night.

Jazmin Bulger added 11 for Fremont Ross (13-6).

Ten different players scored for the Arrows (1-15).

LIMA SENIOR 63, WHITMER 54

LIMA — Destiny McDonald scored 19 points and Nakiya Sigman added 16 to lead the Spartans to a Three Rivers Athletic Conference victory. Lima Senior (9-10, 4-7), hit 11 of 14 free-throw attempts down the stretch.

Rhegyn Blood led Whitmer (12-5, 7-4) with 14 points. Jenna Thomas and Abby Hickey both scored 12, and Maddie Brown had 11, including her 1,000th career point.

SOUTHVIEW 55, SPRINGFIELD 44

Charnae Merrell finished with 17 points, Lauren Perry added 16, and Halle Barnett 11 as the visiting Cougars won.

Rayonna Armstrong led the Generals with 19 points.

PERRYSBURG 47, ANTHONY WAYNE 25

Ashlynn Brown scored 17 points and Nadeen Jemaa added 12 for the visiting Yellow Jackets, who pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Alix Carter led the Generals with six points.

ELMORE — The Wildcats made 11 of its 12 free throws, including six in the fourth quarter, to pull away late.

Katie Brugger scored 13 points and Ava Beam had 10 for Woodmore (9-9, 6-6 NBC).

Tatum Neumann led all scorers with 16 points for the Comets (3-14, 1-10).

PEMBERVILLE — Jamie Schmeltz scored 19 points and Hannah Limes 17 for the host Eagles (13-4, 9-2 NBC).

Sam Mikonowicz led Rossford (8-10, 5-7) with 10 points.

MILLBURY — Lexi Robinson scored 19 points, Maddy Hodgson 15, and Mya Staczek 14 for the host Flyers.

Tyriana Settles led Fostoria with 18 points. J’Breonn Jones added 10.

OTSEGO — The visiting Royals squeaked by with a nonleague win thanks to 21 points from Zoe Shank.

Jaclyn Ghesquiere led Otsego with 13 points. Brynne Limes added 10.

Taylor Besgrove, shown in a game last season, scored 21 points for Cardinal Stritch, which knocked off TAAC-leading Maumee Valley Country Day.

CARDINAL STRITCH 56, MAUMEE VALLEY 47

Taylor Besgrove scored 21 points as the Cardinals (6-13, 6-6 TAAC) pulled off a mild upset in Toledo Area Athletic Conference play.

Courteney Hardy had 14 points, and Erika Berg finished with 11 points.

Shannon Herman had a game-best 22 points for the Hawks (10-9, 10-3).

Cat Jones scored 12 points to pace the host Eagles (11-8) in a TAAC victory.

Abbie Westmeyer scored eight for Ottawa Hills (8-9).

LAKESIDE — Robin Skinner scored 17 points to lead the host Lakers (12-7, 9-3 TAAC).

Emily Roberts finished with 14 points and Becca Morelock 12 for Gibsonburg (4-12, 4-7).

HAMLER — Katelyn Drewes led the way with 17 points as the Patriots won in Northwest Ohio Athletic League play.

Sidney Taylor had a game-high 21 points for the Bulldogs, and Haley Nelson sank 10 free throws and scored 19.

ANTWERP 37, HOLGATE 29

ANTWERP — Rachel Williamson scored 18 points to lead the Archers to a nonleague win over the Tigers.

Holgate was led by Madilyn Hohenberger’s 14-point night.

NORTH BALTIMORE 66, VAN BUREN 25

NORTH BALTIMORE — Alivia Light scored 20 points and Kate Weinandy added 11 for the host Tigers.

Zoe Horne led Van Buren with eight points.

STRYKER 44, PETTISVILLE 38

STRYKER — Haley Doehrmann and Emma Grime scored 15 points each as Stryker clinched the Buckeye Border Conference.

The game was tied at 25 after three quarters, but Stryker pulled away in the fourth.

Mikayla Graber hit three 3-pointers and led Pettisville (10-9, 8-3) with nine points.
