I don’t seem to recall studies being done when Toledo reduced Jackman Road from four lanes down to three between Laskey and Sylvania.
I don’t see a roundabout at Eleanor Avenue. I also do not recall any studies being done when Douglas Road between Laskey and Sylvania was widened last year. Why all the studies for Secor Road?
The simple solution is to widen Secor Road ever so slightly, as the city did on Douglas Road. No houses were torn down, and everyone is happy.
It seems to me that the city just wants to “beautify” Secor Road by adding in the tree-lined median. And, why is it that the houses on the Ottawa Hills side, not the Toledo side, are the dwellings scheduled to be demolished?

Why relax rules for border agents?
The problem with a “liar, liar, pants on fire” President is that the lackeys tend to follow the leader.
Now, the acting customs and border protection boss wants to be free to hire liars as border agents, but only if they are veterans or law enforcement officers.
Do these folks have a better corner on the truth than the rest of humankind?
Thanks to Congress, this service now requires lie-detector tests, and two-thirds of current applicants don’t pass, the Associated Press has reported. By relaxing the standard, are we Americans going to be great again, or just more presidential?
