To the editor: Regional water is a mistake

Forming a regional water source with Toledo in control would be a huge mistake. The current mandated upgrades are a result of Toledo’s poor management. The water crisis was another problem not foreseen.

The water department has a reputation as a dumping ground for unqualified employees. Some water funds have been used for projects unrelated to supplying water. This will not happen with regional control.

Current value is much less than the claimed replacement cost. We have been paying Toledo for water all along so, in essence, we have helped pay for the system and should not have to pay again.

I hope my city and the other communities will go it alone rather than leave Toledo in effective control of this basic resource.

Marching for all forms of life

I am very proud of those magnificent kids who marched for their lives several weeks ago, but where were the pro-lifers? Where were the priests and bishops? Why didn’t they march?

Does born life mean anything or does life begin at conception and end at birth?

Such hypocrisy.
