Hayes, Get the Led Out set shows at Centennial Terrace

  • Get The Led Out, the American Led Zeppelin band, and country artist Hunter Hayes will perform at Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial Road, Sylvania Township, this summer as part of the White Family Dealerships 2017 Concert Series presented by JNP Concerts.

    Tickets for Get The Led Out are $23 to $29 to its show at 8 p.m. July 15. Hunter Hayes tickets are $33 to $50 for the artist’s show at 8 p.m. Aug. 25.

    Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and can be purchased at the Stranahan Theater box office or at etix.com.

    JNP Concerts previously announced rock artist and filmmaker Rob Zombie’s show at 8 p.m. July 9 at Centennial Terrace.

    AUSTIN — Ed Sheeran will guest star in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.

    Producer David Benioff told the audience at the South by Southwest festival that they’ve been trying to get the 26-year-old British singer a spot on the show for years to surprise Sheeran fan Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the HBO fantasy drama.

    The seventh season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO July 16.

    ‘Talent’ host

    LOS ANGELES — Tyra Banks is hosting the 12th season of America’s Got Talent. NBC said  the supermodel, Emmy-winner and creator of America’s Next Top Model will join the competition series alongside returning judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

    Banks will take over hosting duties from Nick Cannon, who left the show earlier this year after eight years in the post. 

    Banks said she looks forward to “connecting with the dreamers” and will try to get a few to “smize” for the audience.

    Contestants in the popular summer series come out to show off a wide array of talents to compete for a $1 million prize.

    Kids’ Choice Awards

    LOS ANGELES — Kevin Hart and the bad bunny he plays in The Secret Life of Pets were both winners at the Kids’ Choice Awards.

    Hart was named favorite villain for voicing Snowball, who claimed the prize for “most wanted pet” at the fan-voted show in Los Angeles. Hart also shared the “BFF” award with Dwayne Johnson, his co-star in Central Intelligence.

    The Ghostbusters remake was a multiple winner, claiming the “favorite movie” award and acting honors for Chris Hemsworth and Melissa McCarthy. 

    Finding Dory was named favorite animated movie, and star Ellen DeGeneres was the favorite voice from an animated film.

    Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena hosted the ceremony.

    Other winners at the Saturday ceremony:
