American country band Rascal Flatts will headline the second Bash on the Bay country music festival on Aug. 30 at the Put-In-Bay Airport.

Tickets cost $69-$175 and go on sale Friday. They can be purchased at www.etix.com.

The performance is part of the band’s Back to the U.S. tour, presented by Ford F-Series and hosted by Concerts on a Part-Time Status (COPS) Productions in conjunction with the Put-in-Bay Port Authority.

“Last year we proved that Put-in-Bay and the Shores & Islands region can put on an amazing show,” Tim Niese, festival organizer and local businesman, said in a news release. “Being able to secure a multi-award-winning group like Rascal Flatts will help us make this year’s festival bigger and better than ever.”

Originally from Columbus, Rascal Flatts is known for its hit songs, such as “These Days,” “Bless the Broken Road,” “What Hurts the Most,” and “Life Is a Highway.”

This year’s music festival also includes Chris Lane and the Cory Farley Band.

Miller Ferry and Jet Express will provide late-night boat service to and from Put-in-Bay and there will be limited car parking available, as well as parking for golf carts at the airport. Food trucks will be on site, and taxis and buses will be staged at the north end of the runway to transport the public to downtown.

Hotel packages are available starting today for the Islander Inn at 419-285-7829 or the Grand Islander Hotel at 419-285-5555.
