Former St. John's player uses injuries to inspire

    It’s by design: The former University of Findlay point guard believes life is a never-ending journey. When Gardner was a student at St. John’s Jesuit, he never imagined he’d be a published author by the time he finished college.

    Then again, Gardner also couldn’t have predicted the unfortunate series of knee injuries that derailed significant parts of his collegiate career.
