3 die in crash at State Rt. 2 in Jerusalem Twp.

Police said the silver pickup truck traveled off the side of the intersection with State Rt. 2 and struck a tree. One occupant was ejected from the truck. The three who died at the scene were Jamey Metroff of Millbury and his passengers Daniel Teet and Joshua Teet of Curtice, Ohio.

RENO BEACH, Ohio — A Millbury man and two Curtice brothers died Sunday in a crash at Teachout Road and State Rt. 2 in Jerusalem Township, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash was reported at 8:39 a.m. 

A pickup that was southbound on Teachout traveled off the south side of the intersection with State Rt. 2. 

The pickup struck a tree and overturned, ejecting an occupant.

The driver was identified as Jamey Metroff, 29, of Millbury. His passengers were Daniel Teet, 30, and Joshua Teet, 27, both of Curtice. 

All occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Troopers said the occupants were not wearing safety belts and they believe alcohol was involved.

The patrol was assisted on scene by the Jerusalem Township Fire Department, Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. 

The crash remains under investigation.
