West Toledo woman severely beaten during burglary
9/13/2017A West Toledo woman was severely beaten Wednesday during a burglary at her apartment, according to Toledo police.
Vanessa Smith, whose age was not reported, of the 3500 block of Woodmont Road was found on her front porch with severe injuries, police said. The incident was reported at 9:30 a.m.
She was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital for serious injuries.
Ms. Smith was unable to tell authorities what happened, but the incident occurred inside her apartment.
It was unknown whether anything was taken from her home.
