Pedestrian struck on Wooster Street in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN — A Granger, Ohio woman walked into the path of an oncoming vehicle on Wooster Street early Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian, Emily Krohn, 18, was treated on the scene by emergency personnel for minor injuries, troopers said.

The driver of the car, Andrew Gray, 21, of Findlay, and his passengers in the vehicle, David Davis, 21, of Findlay, and Kody Sherman, 19, of Upper Sandusky, were not injured, according to the patrol. They were all wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. 

Mr. Gray was driving east on Wooster Street at approximately 1:50 a.m. when Ms. Krohn walked from the sidewalk onto the street and into the path of his vehicle, troopers said. She was struck by the car and landed on the sidewalk.

Ms. Krohn was not in a crosswalk when she walked north across Wooster Street, the patrol reported. She is charged with not yielding the right of way to a vehicle and underage alcohol consumption, troopers said.

Mr. Gray is charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and exceeding the posted speed limit, according to the patrol.
