MONROE, Mich. — A Monroe, Mich., man was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on northbound I-75, just north of North Dixie Highway, in Frenchtown Township, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Miras Gojcaj, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies.
A preliminary investigation shows Mr. Gojcaj was driving northbound on I-75 at approximately 2:55 a.m. when he traveled off the left side of the road and struck the center median barrier, the sheriff’s office reported.
His vehicle came to rest shortly after striking the barrier.
Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash, and Mr. Gojcaj was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, the sheriff’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation.
Anyone with information about the crash should call 734-240-7557.
