A four-vehicle crash near Airport Highway and South Reynolds Road killed one person Monday evening, the Toledo Police Department reported.
Kamel Burkett, 58, of Toledo, was traveling eastbound on Airport at 5:25 p.m. when his car struck an SUV, causing a chain reaction involving the four eastbound cars, police said. Mr. Burkett was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio hospital, where he later pronounced deceased, a police statement said.
No injuries were reported from the drivers of the other three vehicles, Juan Padilla, 46, of Toledo; Moira Behrman, 20, of Maumee; and Donald Jackson, 71, of Toledo, according to the report.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
