A central city man is charged with shooting another man and then chasing him down a road and robbing him and for later fleeing from police, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Terrance Scott, 28, of the 800 block of Woodstock, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony, felonious assault, a second-degree felony, tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, both fifth-degree felonies, and a misdemeanor offense of obstructing official business.

On April 8, Mr. Scott is accused of shooting Dominique Candie in the right leg while in the 300 block of Moorish Avenue during an apparent dispute, according to Toledo police. He then chased Mr. Candie westbound on Indiana Avenue and robbed him at gunpoint, according to documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Mr. Candie was transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

On Friday, officers responded to a disorder call in the 240 block of 21 Street. When police arrived, they saw Mr. Scott running down Jefferson Street toward 17th Street, according to court documents.

Officers yelled for Mr. Scott to stop, but he continued to run.

He was also observed taking a bag of K2 from his person and ripping the bag open to dump the bag out as he was running, court documents show. He was also found in possession of K2 and cocaine, according to court records.

He was taken into custody in the backyard of 100 18th Street and he was booked in the Lucas County jail.

Mr. Scott appeared in Toledo Municipal Court Monday, where his bond was set at $210,000 at no 10 percent. He was ordered to have no contact with Mr. Candie.

He will appear for a preliminary hearing April 23.
