A look at 3 former Mud Hens of note:
■ Bryan Holaday has carved out a role on the Miami Marlins behind the starting catcher J.T. Realmuto. In 16 games through Friday, Holaday was hitting .175 with one home run and three RBIs in 40 at bats. In a 20-1 blowout loss April 7 to Philadelphia, Holaday found himself on the mound for the Marlins, where he had a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout.
Cincinnati's Eugenio Suarez, a former Mud Hen, has taken over the third base job with the Reds.
■ Eugenio Suarez, who last played in Toledo in 2014, is manning third base after signing a long-term extension with the Cincinnati Reds. Coming back from an injury that kept him out about 20 days, Suarez was hitting .294 with five home runs and 26 RBIs on the season.
■ Bruce Rondon had pitched in 10 games this season for the Chicago White Sox. The hard-throwing right-hander was 1-2 with a 4.91 ERA in 11 innings. He had 14 strikeouts with seven walks. His best outing came April 18 against Oakland, when he pitched three innings, allowing one hit and striking out four.

A look down to the lower levels of Tigers’ farm system:
■ With Double-A Erie, promising pitching prospect Beau Burrows posted back-to-back dominant starts May 5 and 11. In those two games, he did not allow a run and gave up just three hits in 11 innings. The Tigers’ No. 4-rated prospect, Burrows improved to 4-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 30⅔ innings pitched.
■ As the teams seventh-rated prospect, Isaac Paredes is one of the highly touted position players in the farm system. The shortstop is at High Single-A Lakeland, where he led the team with four home runs and 21 RBIs through Friday despite a .218 batting average.
■ Eduardo Jimenez, no relation to Tigers pitcher Joe Jimenez, started 5-for-5 in save opportunities this season with Lakeland. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound right-hander was 0-3 with a 3.38 ERA with 14 strikeouts and five walks in 13⅓ innings. In six of his first 10 appearances this season, Jimenez pitched more than one inning, and he earned a two-inning save April 28.
