Under Construction: Chabad House in Sylvania Township

Construction continues on the new Chabad House of Greater Toledo.

Construction moves swiftly on the 9,758-square-foot Chabad House of Toledo at 2728 King Rd. When finished, the $1.8 million building will double the size of the previous community center that Chabad House occupied on the 1.62-acre site during the last two years. Romanko Building Co. Ltd. is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to be completed next spring. The new Chabad House will include space for services and prayer, community space for holiday celebrations, and space for religious camps held during winters and summers. A larger building that is part of the design will serve the congregation’s community outreach programs, in particular The Friendship Circle, which provides services and support for Jewish children and teenagers with special needs.
