Under construction: Wingate Meadows adds villa homes

Jeff Cornes of Steve Leffler Painting, above left, paints a garage step on a villa in Wingate Meadows as construction speeds ahead on four ranch-villa homes in the 14-lot Plat 3 section of the subdivision, located on Nebraska Avenue about a half-mile west of McCord Road in Sylvania Township. Developed by Dan Bollin of Eagle Creek Builders of Toledo, two of the villas are under contract, a third is a spec home, and the fourth will serve as the model home for the subdivision. Villas in Wingate Meadows have between 1,200 and 1,900 square feet, two or three bedrooms, and two bathrooms and have price tags between $200,000 and $260,000. Each has a two-car garage, sunrooms, and covered porches. The maintenance-free villas have been given the Best Villa Home award by the Home Builders Association of Greater Toledo for seven consecutive years, Mr. Bollin said. Plat 3 has just two lots left, but construction will start this week on a 12-lot Plat 4, which will be the final plat in Wingate Meadows.
