  • The Toledo Lucas County Public Library hosts two authors this weekend: Wil Haygood speaks on his latest book, Tigerland, at 7 p.m. Thursday and Tiffani Thiessen speaks on Pull Up a Chair: Recipes from My Family to Yours at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Haygood is the best-selling author of The Butler. His latest book is an inspiring account of a segregated high school in Columbus that won two state championships during the racial turbulence of the 1968-1969 school year. Thiessen is an actress best known for her work in Saved by the Bell and Beverly Hills, 90210. Pull Up a Chair is her debut cookbook.

Both presentations continue the library’s Authors! series and take place at Bowsher High School, 2200 Arlington Ave. Admission is free, but RSVPs are requested. For more information or to RSVP, go to toledolibrary.org/authors.
