President's day closings: 2/20
Government offices, schools closed, libraries open Monday
2/17/2017Toledo, county, state, and federal government officers will be closed Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day; government offices in Sylvania and Perrysburg will be closed; Maumee and Oregon city offices will be open, but municipal courts will be closed.
Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles deputy registrar sites across the state will be closed, as will Social Security Offices.
Schools
Public and parochial schools in the area will be closed.
Public utilities
The Toledo Department of Public Utilities will be closed; emergency service will be available to customers, but Columbia Gas and Toledo Edison and its parent company FirstEnergy will be open.
Bus service
Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a regular schedule.
Libraries
The Main Library downtown and all branches of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will be open.
Trash pickup
Refuse collection will be on a regular schedule for Toledo residents; service in other communities vary.
Mail service
Post offices will be closed; mail will not be delivered.
Parking
Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free.
