New traffic pattern in place Friday at ProMedica Toledo Hospital

Beginning at 5:30 a.m. Friday, patients and visitors at ProMedica Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children’s Hospital will now access the north end of the medical campus through the new ProMedica Parkway and two-lane roundabout.

Drivers can no longer turn in directly from Monroe Street, but can access the hospital via the two-lane ProMedica Parkway.

The parkway has been moved east near the location of what was Rathbun Drive between Monroe Street and North Cove Boulevard.

This will primarily affect visitors using the hospital’s entrance B, emergency department, and the P2 parking garage.

The new traffic pattern is due to construction of the 13-story, 302-bed “Generations of Care” tower project, which is slated to be finished in 2019. The project began in 2015.
