Construction to close roads in Ottawa Hills

Getting to or from Ottawa Hills will be difficult toward both the north and south this week because of two construction projects, the Toledo Division of Transportation reported.

Starting Monday, the latest phase of intersection reconstruction at Central Avenue and Talmadge Road will close Talmadge on the south side of Central for five days.

A posted detour will use Bancroft Street, Reynolds Road, and Central. Talmadge also will have lane closings north of Indian Road for resurfacing during this period, officials said.

To the south, meanwhile, Richards Road will close Wednesday at the railroad just south of Hillandale Drive for crossing repairs, with traffic detoured via Bancroft, Reynolds, and Dorr Street. That work is scheduled for completion June 19.
