Friends of the Library will host three book sales, offering hundreds of gently used books, CDs, magazines, and more at discount prices.

The sales take place Jan. 9-11 and run 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A members-only sale will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 9.

The sales will be at the Friends of the Library Book Center on Reynolds Road. Prices are 25 cents for magazines; 50 cents for pocket paperbacks, VHS, and LP records; $1 for hardcovers, trade paperbacks, CDs, and books on tape; and $2 for DVDs and books on CD. For $8, you can fill a bag with books.
