Cordell Jenkins, left, and Anthony Haynes
The trial of two Toledo area pastors charged in a child sex trafficking conspiracy has been pushed to next year.
A jury trial for Anthony Haynes, along with co-defendants Cordell Jenkins and his wife Laura Lloyd-Jenkins, was moved from Oct. 29 to Jan. 22.
U.S. District Court Judge Jack Zouhary granted a continuance to allow attorneys more time to prepare pretrial motions, review discovery, and prepare for trial.
Mr. Jenkins, 48, who founded and was a pastor at Abundant Life Ministries, and Mr. Haynes, 39, who led the Greater Life Christian Center, each are charged with child sex trafficking, production of child pornography, and other charges.
Ms. Lloyd-Jenkins, 43, the former Lucas County administrator, is charged with obstructing a sex-trafficking investigation and making a false statement to federal investigators.
