Firefighters responded to two overnight fires in East and West Toledo.

A fire started about 2:16 a.m. Monday at a house in the 2300 block of Georgetown Avenue. Heavy smoke and fire spread from the second floor, Toledo Fire Department spokesman Pvt. Sterling Rahe said.

An additional fire started about 11:21 p.m. Sunday in the first-floor furnace room of Prime Time bar, 1001 Starr Ave. Residents above the business left their apartments, Private Rahe said.

Officials estimated loss of structure and content in the Georgetown residence at $65,000. That total for the bar fire is $60,000 in damages.

No injuries were reported. The causes remain under investigation.
