Fire destroys unoccupied structure in East Toledo

The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department responded to a house fire early Thursday morning at East Broadway Street and Kelsey Avenue.

Toledo firefighters responded to a fire at a home early Thursday in Toledo.

The fire was reported at about 2 a.m. at East Broadway Street and Kelsey Avenue, according to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department. The home was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation.

Pvt. Sterling Rahe, a fire department spokesman, said the estimated damage was about $146,000 and the building had to be demolished.
