FREMONT – A Bloomdale, Ohio, man who was struck by a vehicle Wednesday near Terra State Community College has died from injuries suffered in the incident, authorities said.
Anthony Ervin, 18, was pronounced dead Saturday at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, where he was flown Friday from Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol's Fremont post.
Mr. Ervin was struck about 10:40 p.m. on Napoleon Road just west of Sullivan Road, in Sandusky County's Sandusky Township, according to a written statement released Sunday by the patrol.
A small silver pickup truck that struck Mr. Ervin was eastbound on Napoleon at the time of the incident, according to the patrol. The truck hasn't been located, troopers said.
