MARQUETTE, Mich. — Bowling Green State University surrendered four power-play goals in a 5-2 loss Friday in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest at Northern Michigan.

The Wildcats scored two man-advantage goals in each of the first two periods to roll to the victory that put them a tie with the Falcons for second place in the WCHA standings with 34 points apiece.

Brett D’Andrea and Mitch McLain each scored a goal for No. 14 Bowling Green, which fell to 12-7-6 overall and 9-3-5-2 in league play.

Northern Michigan (12-10-3, 10-5-2-2 WCHA) got two power-play goals from Troy Loggins as well as power-play goals from Joseph Nardi and Darien Craighead along with an even-strength goal from Denver Pierce.

Eric Dop finished with 29 saves for Bowling Green, while Atte Tolvanen stopped 23 shots for the Wildcats.

The two teams will meet again at the Berry Events Center in a 7:07 p.m. start Saturday.
