The University of Toledo women’s basketball team filled out its coaching staff Monday by hiring Danielle Page as its final assistant coach.

Page and LaNitra Perry were hired as assistant coaches this offseason after long-time UT assistant Vicki Hall took the head coaching job at Indiana State and Tony Greene took an assistant job at Mississippi.

"We're very excited to welcome Danielle to our Rocket family," UT head coach Tricia Cullop said in a release. "She's a proven winner at all levels and an outstanding person. Danielle will play an integral role in developing our post players and our staff will greatly benefit from her vast knowledge and relationships.”

Page enters collegiate coaching after a 10-year professional career, during which she spent time overseas with teams in Turkey, France, Israel, Poland, Bulgaria, and Hungary. She also earned a bronze medal playing for the Serbian national team during the 2016 Rio Olympics.

“Our program has been blessed to have seven professional players in the past eight years,” Cullop said. “Danielle will serve as a tremendous mentor for any of our players aspiring to play at that level."

She was a member of Bourges' 2016 EuroCup Championship team playing in France, and earned eurobasket.com first-team All-France recognition twice. She also was selected the 2014 Foreign Player of the Year in France and garnered first-team All-EuroCup accolades that season.

Most recently, Page helped UNIQA Sopron of the First League of Hungary to a runner-up finish in the EuroLeague Championship.

Page was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Nebraska from 2004-08, averaging 7.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 129 career games.
