Prep Basketball: Ray scores 40 for Bowsher

Boys

Bowsher 80, Scott 57

Markus Ray enjoyed a career game Friday night.

The 6-foot-5 junior finished with 40 points, leading the Rebels to a City League boys basketball victory. He scored 10 points in the first quarter, nine in the second, 13 in the third, and eight in the fourth.

Shawn Hoskins and Isaiah Brewer added 10 points each for Bowsher (5-6, 2-2 CL).

Brandon Hendricks led Scott (1-8, 1-3) with 21 points. Jalenn Quinn added 10.

Start 78, Waite 60

Alex Perry scored 23 points, Devin Williams added 19, and Tyrik Barbine had 14 for the Spartans (8-3, 3-1 CL).

Dewayne Wells led Waite (6-5, 2-2) with 16 points. Mark Randall added 14.

Rogers 68, Woodward 56

Christian Smith scored 21 points and Da’Sean Nelson added 11 for the visiting Rams (4-8, 4-0 CL).

Charles Robinson III led the Polar Bears (1-13, 0-4) with 23 points. Jaymar Robinson added 14.

Central Catholic 53, Clay 46

Dominique Cole led the way with 12 points as the Irish won the battle of Three Rivers Athletic Conference schools.

Jonziel Norrils and Dallas Fields each had 10 points for Central Catholic (6-3, 2-1 TRAC).

Reese Wamer had 18 points to lead the Eagles (4-9, 0-6). Dustin Aiton added 16 points.

Cardinal Stritch 79, Northwood 30

Joey Holifield scored 23 points, and both Jordan Burton and Collin Yost added 15 for the Cardinals in Toledo Area Athletic Conference play.

Those three combined to hit 11 3-pointers for Cardinal Stritch (12-1, 7-0 TAAC).

Demond Marks led the Rangers (1-10, 1-6) with nine points.

Annapolis, Mich. 72, Jones Academy 27

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. — Andre Johnson led Jones Leadership Academy (1-7) with eight points.

Delta 57, Wauseon 27

DELTA — Madison Mattimore scored 16 points to help the Panthers (12-0, 2-0 Northwest Ohio Athletic League) win at home. They sprinted to a 32-11 halftime lead.

Rylee Campbell led the Indians (2-12, 0-2) with 15 points.
