  • A week of showdowns on the hardwood resulted in no changes atop any of the four Blade basketball polls in either gender.

On the girls side, Notre Dame Academy moved closer to salting away a TRAC title with a victory against Central Catholic that gave it a two-game league lead, and the Eagles continue to be atop the Division I Blade poll. Rogers stayed atop the D-II rankings after a big league win vs. Start, and both Liberty-Benton (D-III) and Fremont St. Joseph (D-IV) also remain in first place in their polls.

On the boys side, Southview had a strong week after moving up to No. 1 in the Division I rankings a week ago, holding off Anthony Wayne in a league game to remain unbeaten and atop the NLL. Start also stayed at No. 4 after a City League win vs. Rogers, while St. Francis moved into the poll after downing Whitmer on Friday night.

Unbeaten Wauseon rolls on as the Indians remain atop the D-II rankings and are the only team in the area in the division above .500. TAAC leader Cardinal Stritch stays on top of the D-III rankings, while 16-2 Pettisville leads in D-IV.
