BOWLING GREEN — Perrysburg and Whitmer each won Division I district softball semifinals Tuesday at Bowling Green State University, and will meet for a district title at 5 p.m. Thursday here.

In the first semifinal, third-ranked Perrysburg (26-2) took a 5-0 win against Northern Lakes League foe Bowling Green (9-17) as Yellow Jackets ace pitcher Bri Pratt pushed her season record to 20-0 with a 13-strikeout one-hitter.

Kylie Griggs and Abby Seely each singled and scored in the first and third innings, and Reyann Kruger followed a double by Morgan Pruss with an RBI single in the fourth.

In the second semifinal, Three Rivers Athletic Conference champion Whitmer (21-4) broke a 1-1 tie on a two-run single by Alexys Bonds in the bottom of the sixth to lift the Panthers to a 3-1 victory against conference rival Clay (14-9).

Bonds drove in Whitmer’s first run in the second with a single and, after the Eagles tied the game in the top of the sixth after a Regan Stager single and two errors, Bonds struck again in the bottom half. Her winning single came after Jada Martinez and Madison Terry had singled to start the inning.

Whitmer pitcher Amanda Combs scattered eight hits in pushing her season record to 16-3.
