Area Roundup: McComb piles up 327 yards on ground against Arlington

ARLINGTON — In a battle of two of the top teams in Division VII, No. 1 McComb (5-0) prevailed with a 39-12 win over Arlington. The Panthers rushed for 327 yards.

Khegan Loe had 138 yards and three scores (one of 50 yards) on 16 carries.

Tanner Schrader rushed for 160 on 15 carries. He passed for 68 yards and kicked a 25 yard field goal and had four extra points.

Jacob Dillon scored from one yard out, and Robert O’Dell caught a 24-yard pass for another McComb touchdown.

The sixth-ranked Red Devils (4-1) were held to 101 rushing yards, but managed 204 in the air as Jacob Russell had one scoring toss.

Gibsonburg 51, Danbury 0

Brad Mendoza and Theo Hernandez each had two rushing touchdowns apiece for the Golden Bears (4-1).

Danbury (2-3) was held to just 57 total yards for the game, 25 of which came from Jorge Stone on the ground.

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN

Blissfield 14, Dundee 9

BLISSFIELD — A 9-yard TD run by Brian Goetz in the third quarter secured a Royals victory over the Vikings on Friday night.

Zacky Horky also hauled a 19-yard TD pass from Gavin Ganum for Blissfield, which improve to (4-1.

Dundee (3-2) scored on a 20-yard Carter Scott field goal, and 1-yard run by Luke Williams.

Bedford 43, Ann Arbor Pioneer 7

BEDFORD — Running back Christian Brown rushed for three touchdowns as Bedford cruised to victory at home.

Brown had 170 yards on 18 carries, scoring on runs of 2, 4, and 44 yards. Bedford (2-3, 1-1) piled up 407 yards rushing.

Ann Arbor Pioneer fell to 3-2, 1-1.
