    Sunday’s game: The Mud Hens took Monday off after claiming a 10-4 victory over Louisville Sunday. Toledo clubbed six home runs in its win over the Bats, including two by both Ronny Rodriguez and Christin Stewart.

    Transactions: On Sunday the Tigers returned pitcher Ryan Carpenter to the Mud Hens after Carpenter was added to the Detroit roster for Saturday’s doubleheader. ... On Monday the Tigers promoted infielder Dawel Lugo to Detroit. He took the roster spot of third baseman Jeimer Candelario, who was placed on the disabled list.

    Weather: While forecasters are calling for rain during the day Tuesday, the rain is expected to taper off in the evening. Unfortunately, the temperatures in the 70s during the day are expected to drop into the 50s by nightfall, so bring a sweater.

    Notes: After 35 games – or the one-quarter mark of the season – Toledo has a 23-12 record, the best record in the International League. That is also the best mark at this point in the season since the 2008 squad started the year 24-11. … Stewart leads the IL with 11 home runs. He reached 10 home runs in 34 games, making him the fastest to reach double digits in homers since Steven Moya needed just 32 games to hit 10 homers in 2016. …As a team the Mud Hens lead the IL with 38 home runs but are also second in doubles (75) and tied for fifth in triples (seven).
