    Starting pitchers: Toledo will use a yet-to-be-announced reliever to start this contest against Charlotte’s Jordan Stephens (first appearance).

    Tuesday’s game: The Mud Hens scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Charlotte Tuesday. Harold Castro had three of Toledo’s seven hits in the game, while Josh Turley and Phillippe Aumont combined to limit the Knights to two runs on six hits.

    Promotions: This is the third of four School Celebration Days at Fifth Third Field this season. The Mud Hens will welcome a number of area schoolchildren to the morning contest.

    Transactions: After Detroit’s come-from-behind win over Cleveland, the Tigers called up two Toledo pitchers, right-hander Artie Lewicki (Wednesday’s scheduled starter) and lefty Ryan Carpenter (Thursday’s scheduled starter). … Toledo will receive right-handed pitcher Zac Reininger and infielder Dawel Lugo from the Tigers. … The Hens also will add right-handers Kyle Dowdy and Kurt Spomer from Double-A Erie for Wednesday’s contest.

    Weather: Wednesday morning should find temperatures in the low 60s, but it should warm to near 70 by the afternoon. It is expected to be cloudy, but there is no rain in the forecast.

    Notes: Right-hander Grayson Long, who is on the Toledo disabled list, had thoracic outlet syndrome surgery in mid-April. Long, considered the Tigers No. 15 prospect by MLB.com, is expected to begin rehabbing in Lakeland by the end of this month. … Lefty Jairo Labourt, who signed with the Tigers as a free agent just as the season started, remains in Lakeland preparing for the season. … Ronny Rodriguez enters this game with an 11-game hit streak, during which he has batted .364 with four homers, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. His streak is the longest active streak in the International League.
