Toledo opens as 24 1/2-point favorite over Bowling Green

As expected, the Toledo football team will be heavily favored to win its 10th straight game over rival Bowling Green.

Toledo opened as a 24½-point favorite for Saturday’s game at Circa Sports books in Las Vegas. The over-under is at 65½.

The Rockets (4-1 overall) have won four straight games entering the contest, while Bowling Green (1-4) has lost four in a row. Kickoff is set for noon at BG’s Doyt L. Perry Stadium.

Toledo is 3-2 against the spread this season.

ESPN’s analytics-based Football Power Index is giving Toledo a 94.1 percent chance of winning.

Sports betting website Odds Shark’s computer score prediction for the game is at 42.5-14.2. Fox Sports, which simulates each game 501 times, has the average score of its simulations much closer and favoring Toledo 31.8-28.2.

Toledo last season was favored over BG by 20½ at home and won 52-36.
