HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – The University of Toledo men's basketball team saw six players score in double figures in a 96-70 win over Marshall on Sunday afternoon at the Cam Henderson Center.
Spencer Littleson was 6-of-8 from the 3-point line on the way to a game-high 27 points. Dylan Alderson added 17 points and 10 rebounds, Luke Knapke scored 15 points, Marreon Jackson and Keshaun Saunders added 12 points each, and Willie Jackson finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Rockets (1-1) were scorching from 3-point range, finishing the game 14-of-25 from beyond the arc as a team (56 percent).
Toledo scored 55 points in the first half thanks to an 11-of-18 clip (61.1 percent) from beyond the 3-point line.
The Rockets shot 51.5 percent (35-of-68) from the field as a team and 80 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line.
Marshall (1-1) struggled to find its range on the deep ball, going 6-of-23 from 3-point range. Taevion Kinsey and Jarrod West paced the Thundering Herd with 20 points each.
Toledo returns home to face Robert Morris on Saturday and Howard on Sunday. Both games are at 2 p.m. at Savage Arena.
